Fire Starters

Fire StarterCampfire Starters!  I love camping, and these make it easy to start a campfire without having to scrape off some kindling, find newspapers, etc.  Toilet paper rolls filled with old dryer lint.  Wrap it in Kraft Paper with some string just to keep in place and your set.  Not only do these hold nicely whilst travelling, they’re easy to light up.  Un-tie one end, light and you’ve started yourself up a fire.  Use two if your wood is a bit on the wetter side.  Let me know how it works out 🙂

  1. As a long time leader of Girl and Boy Scouts, I have made many homemade fire starters. These look like they would work pretty well. We have used lint and melted crayons in paper egg cartons, and those also worked well. Thank you for sharing this idea.
