Want some Easter activities to do with your kids? Well, we decided to make our own.
Here’s what you will need:
– poster board (you can get a large one for $1 at the dollar or craft stores)
– finger paint or felts
– scarf for a blindfold
It all started out with finger painting, and the girls and I decided to make a game. So I had some kids washable paint, a cheap poster board and I quickly drew out a bunny’s bum. I allowed the girls to paint the bunny as much as they wanted. I took the bottom portion from the poster and cut out little “puffy” bunny tails out of it and got my girls to paint those to determine whose were whose whilst we were playing the game. We allowed it all to dry.
So, after my youngest had too much sun, she had a nap, both girls had dinner and got ready in their pyjamas. After that, we set up the game. We taped the game to the wall (we did it inside, because it’s cold outside) and rolled up tape on the back of the tails, so they can put the tails to stick on the poster. Grab a scarf to cover the eyes and play! No Peaking! Spin the girls around 5x, lead them to the wall and let them put the tail closest to where the bunny tail should be. This turned out to be two activities in one. What a great way to spend a few hours, and on a small budget. Hope your kids enjoy as much as mine did.
